Well, that was easier said than done, why? Because at this very moment I am still an amateur at mastering the techniques of the trade on making money online with articles, hubs, lenses and blogs. Now 1^st of all I have learned that if you are looking for an easy way to jump the bandwagon to earn lots of easy money for nearly non existing effort then you can give yourself a break and forget about it.

The reason why I am writing this hub is to explain to new comers that if you are devoted on jumping on this “Make Money with Google Adsense” bandwagon, you better be geared up to hold on tight because it’s one hell of a ride. You must be prepared to start at the bottom and learn from the professionals how to go about making money online. Just like any other revenue business you are going to have to spend some money getting the right knowledge to start building your empire of words and advice for the world to read.

There will be lots of advice, and when I say lots I mean millions & millions of blogs, posts, sites, articles, ads, scams, hubs, lenses, scams; yes I did say scams twice; the list goes on; on how to make money online. I am not going to exclude this very blog from that list, but just hope that you don’t underestimate the challenge of making a success of online revenue generating.

Some people will say they have never spend any money on promoting themselves and yes, this might be true, if you are willing to take the longest route possible to a proper kick-off. I’m not saying go and spend money on the very 1^st service offering you advice on how to make money online, but what I am trying to say is, take some time reading informative blogs and advice of people who really are willing to give advice on how to jump them stepping stones to success.

Spend the effort on researching Adsense, Amazon, Snipsly etc. There is more than one way to skin a cat, so be sure you know which way you are going to take on first. Research a free choice as good as possible 1st, experiment with it and learn the tricks of the trade.

If you were thinking that you are going to register for Google Adsense, write a few articles and watch the traffic stream to your glorified, unique, one of a kind blog while you watch the money roll in as people are clicking on the ads left right and centre...then you have it all completely wrong! You have a better chance making more money by picking up an empty can in the rubbish and selling it for a dollar to a homeless person on the street (No offence intended)

You will have to do complete research and understand 3 concepts to get a ride on the online money making bandwagon, Content, Key words & Back linking.

When I started off on hub pages I wrote a few articles that generated nearly non existing revenue to absolutely nothing because I had no clue what I was doing. I wrote a few “Pointless poll of the day” that had very little traffic and absolutely no revenue generating talent at all... I keep asking myself “what the hell was I thinking?” I then wrote a few hubs on some of my interests which required very little research as this is part of my everyday life. My two best performing hubs are; Are you a Vocalist? (which is all about learning how to sing) & Are you being paid correctly? which is all about labour related leave payments.

Now, I am using these two hubs of mine as examples to my theory, I the 1^st one about singing I reveal some advice on tips and tricks on how to learn a skill. This might be my most informative hub yet, but people reading this hub is happy or not and will go on to finding something else to read, thus, the type of reader I attract with this hub is not someone who is looking to buy something to make them able to sing. I got 0 ad clicks on this hub with $0 revenue... (Sad Face) On the other hand I wrote a hub about professional and very informative advice on how to ensure that you are being paid correctly in your everyday job, people reading this hub is a complete different type of reader that is looking for realistic money based solutions or products to help them resolve some of their needs. They spotted an ad that was possibly appropriate to their need and vuala! They clicked the ad ... (Happy Face)

You must be able to identify which type of information will attract what type of reader, and then determine whether this type of reader is someone who would possibly click on an ad. Once you have identified this, you have successfully discovered your topic basis and thus you are starting off in the right direction.Read more here on "Who click on Ads?"

Be sure to write accurate, informative and quality content to engage the reader to get involved in what you are going to tell him. Quality content will make you skip on the stepping stones on your long awaited journey you are on.

Now that you might be holding onto the band wagon and not falling off anymore, you can find yourself pretty much completely at the bottom of competition. There are lots of people that went down the very same road you are travelling down and trust me, they have experience.

The next step will be to research quality keywords to get your article on the 1^st page of Google. One again this is easier said than done and there are once again millions of blogs, post and tools out there to help you get the highest paying keywords for your topic. Now, I’m not going to say which strategy you must use to get the most out of your Article as there are some people that use high paying keywords with lots of competition and some people that use lower paying more unique keywords with less competition. Do research on keywords because it plays one of the biggest roles in getting your article out there on the web. Personally I like to use Googles’ search based keyword tool and select my keywords from there.

Once you are comfortable with your choice of keywords you can prepare yourself for a long time of “Promotion”. Without it you article is a floating information page in the information age on the 6, 7335,901th page of Googles’ search results taking into consideration that you used high competition keywords.

Generating traffic to your article will be the only thing you concentrate on once your article is complete. There is once again thousands of informative advice on how to generate more traffic to your article from back links on other articles, submitting your url to search directories, bookmarks, comments on high rated articles etc. the list goes on.

For directory listing I use Brad Callen’s free directory Submitter which is a very user friendly tool to assist you in submitting your url to lots of directory listing services. So far I have had quite good results from it and can recommend it to anyone trying to make directory listing a breeze.

Now that you have the term “Ways to make money online” in a nutshell, you can head out and be sure your approach it with the right mindset and not fall prey to the scamming money hungry dragons out there.
